They didnt make them in lsd. The only std LSD's were 3.62 and 3.92 in the cossies

83 BG is the prefix of all diffs in the 82 to approx. 87 model years. 4006 is the same on all seierra diffs, KC is the important bit, only the 3.14 push-in type diffs had this code, and 314 is obviously the ratio. The rest is serial No.

Double check the ratio by counting the number of propshaft rotations required for one full driveshaft rotation. If it is 3 rotations + 50 degrees (less than a quarter of a rotation), and the diff is not welded, you can make some money... or use it in your BEC... :-)

Take the back off and in white pen writing you'll see the magic numbers.

I bought a 3.14 but wouldn't hand over the cash until I took the back off.

3.14 tags are worth a few quid
