Are the heads from the 1.8 pinto's interchagable with the 2l?

also what other parts are, obv pistons rods , crank and block arent, what about flywheel etc?

I belive that they are, certainly the 1.6 can go on a 2.0L however your valves will be smaller and a different length and the combustion chamber will be smaller, which may help with extra compression ratio but you must now measure everything to make sure.

same stroke as the 2.0L so assume same crank, rods are the same, flywheel, don't know

The later version 1600 is the same stroke as the 1800 and 2000cc pinto

165 185 205 block castings

The rods a crankshafts will fit all 3

Flywheels 215 mm clutch from the later 1600 is the same for the 1800 and 2000cc

earlier 1600 pinto had a 190mm clutch the flywheel will fit the later engines just needing the smaller clutch

I was told they are, but the 1.8 combustion area may be slightly smaller.

I've still got a spare 2.0 head in the garage that we forgot to load in your car after the hernia inducing engine lifting

You are welcome to come and pick it up this weekend if you still want to, along with the set of seat runners we forgot to drop in too & a strip of grip tape
