Sorry - totally missing your point?

I looked at the rev counter? Couldn't see anything unusual.

I thought the idea was to keep a constant speed until you are coming out of the corner?

Im waiting for the post "why have my back tyres only lasted 6 months" lmao

The point is that as soon as turbo comes in it starts wheel spinning and loosing traction

prawnabie - 1/1/10 at 03:28 PM

It will on my 1700 crossflow if I gun it round bends like that!

PAUL FISHER - 1/1/10 at 03:44 PM

Looks like good fun to me,never been to Barkston heath before myself, and its only a few miles away from me, looks like a nice little track to have some fun, I might have to give it a go.

dlatch - 1/1/10 at 03:46 PM

madteg - 1/1/10 at 04:50 PM

300 but it spikes when turbo comes it so not usable in 1st to 3rd, you can see what i mean on this vid

thats awesome

ashg - 1/1/10 at 07:55 PM

looks fine to me if it wasn't scary then it wouldn't be fun

what gearbox are you running?

madteg - 1/1/10 at 08:34 PM

Standard type 9 1600, i know but it as lasted 3 years up to now.

Nash - 2/1/10 at 11:39 AM

Not really the best track to see it. I have watched the second vid several times now and it seems that on some corners you are planting the throttle rather then feeding it in.

Please this is not a criticism as I used to do it but you can't get away with it on such a high output engine. Try braking earlier and feathering the throttle through the corner so the power comes in more smoothly. I bet your laptimes come down. Mine did.

IMHO

limited slip diff ?

sticky tyres ?

Antnicuk - 2/1/10 at 07:21 PM

Nice vids, i know exactly how you feel. I had to fit a 60mm wastegate to mine to get boost down. I can now run it at 0.4 bar which is a bit more civilised. Its about 270 bhp, Before the wastegate change i couldnt run less than 0.8 which is 400 bhp now that was scary, with sticky tyres and LSD. Cant wait for the weather to improve......

This was my attempt at drifting running 0.4 bar she goes in circles on the throttle only
