I have a scooter (125cc4 stroke) that is hard to start when it is left to stand for a few days. It does fire up eventually. In normal circumstances,
it starts at the press of the button. What might be causing this and how can I investigate this further from here?
Thanks
With all due repect what made you choose this forum to ask your first question, about a scooter?

It's his engine and it won't start ?
Take it off the stand and shake it from side to side as you press the starter. The float bowl dries up so it has to fill before you get any through.
Though to be a total pedant it should possibly be under "Car chat- other" or "non-car chat" rather than engine & transmission.
A scooter engine wouldn't be the kind of BEC I'd want to drive
Ah, but it wouldn't be a BEC, it would be a SEC!
So we now have,
CEC - Car engined Car
BEC - Bike engined Car
BEC2 - Boat engined Car
SEC - Scooter engined Car
SEC2 - Snowmobiled engined car
SEC3 - steam engined car
EEC - electric engined car
fec - feet engined car
DEC - diesel engined car
Now is a rocket engined car classed as rocket or chemical?
