Where for best price? does it have to be ford? specific ford?

How about this Fleabay linky

i guess its not the engine thats important, but the carbs you have fitted

although, one from a sierra is probably a good start

the one you linked might be perfect though

i believe most equipment uses standard solderless nipples.

I bought my bits from a bike shop: mountain bike brake cable, 2 solderless nipples and a cable adjuster for <£5 job done.

As above, if you're using something like a Weber DGAV carb then you'll need a cable with the right plastic clip on the carb end.

Not that familiar with other carbs, but I'm guessing they'll each have a specific fitting of some kind...?

Twin choke DGAV I think. Single downdraught twin weber

I like that idea.

It just the inner cable that got fooked and cut it off shorter than it can be DOH!!

yes mate, definitely just get a bike brake cable if its just the inner that needs changing. They only cost pence from a bike shop or a couple of quid from halfords

Now sorted in true Locost style

Took the end cap off the outer cable cut the outer back 2", cap back on, re-attached and the job is a goodun as they say.

Thanks for the help chaps
