Hi

As i am using the standard flywheel on my blacktop. Is it advisable to change the flywheel bolts to ARP ones. I have not removed the Standard ones yet.

Are you installing arp bottom end bolts? If you are and intend to rev your engine more then I would say yes to the arp flywheel bolts even with a standard flywheel otherwise no.

Cheers

I have installed the Big end one. But the reason for keeping the flywheel was that the car would be used mainly for touring. No racing ( well maybe one track day a year) just for fun nothing serious

The ARP bolts are cheap, however a recent classic ford article quoted Paul Dunnell as saying "the standard flywheel bolts are fine and do not need replacing for any application, (he had seen)

For what you want to do I would leave the standard ones in place.

I bought ARP flywheel bolts as I wasn't sure if the CVH flywheel would work OK with my Zetec, and ARP claim their's are reusable. I don't have ARP rod bolts though and it hasn't blown up yet [despite over revving it a few times on track days].
