Duratec identification: AODA

I'm after a duratec, came across an engine code of AODA which I'm not familure with; it's from a Focus:

Ford 2.0 16v Duratec He Engine (AODA)

Ford 2.0 16v Duratec He Engine (AODA) | eBay UK

The very low miles make it tempting, but want to ensure its the correct variety.

Thanks
Alex

My advice would be to find an ST150 if you can then the EGR is already blanked off and the flywheel is not a dual mass one.

Any other Duratec would need these bits changing.

But the Duratec HE is pretty much the same apart from that.

Early Versions have an alloy Cam cover like a Silvertop newer versions have a black plastic cover like the Blacktop.

If its out of a Focus it should be a newer version.

Flywheel is already sorted, this is a 2009 with 5000 miles...

Sounds like a good one then, mines a 2007 with 20k miles. Got it for £275.00 because the front engine mount on the cam chain cover had the corner broken, we don't need that mount in a seven so got a bargain. So repaired the casting with Liquid metal and rubbed it down.

I think the Duratec only got put in the latest version of the Focus.

Its a good engine, so I think you should not worry and get stuck in!!
