Has anyone got the standard/usual ratios for these to hand - I've put my book with this kind of stuff in it in a safe place...........and I'm sure it'll come to me where that is any time now!

Think it is on Dave Andrews site or BGH Geatec http://hometown.aol.com/dvandrews/index.htm

Also Rob Lane and Burton sites have more infof

No, the BGH info doesn't tell you the standard ratios only the improved ones they fit (apart from the Type 9 for some reason)

Do these sound right to anyone......?

Type 3
3.337:1
1.995:1
1.418:1
1:1

Type E
3.651:1
1.968:1
1.368:1
1:1

As I under stand it the only production boxes for the 4 cylinder in line engines that were much different were the real 1600e/GT/lotus/2000e box and the 2 litre box as fitted to the MK1/2 RS2000 (also some Capris and 2 litre Cortinas).

There is a Capri club site somewhere hat gives more details.

I might add 2000e ratios are very worth having.
