i have a 1660 crossflow just had rebuild but i dont know if i want to use it or to have a bec has anyone in liverpool area got a bec they could take
me out in so i can make my mind up
ps the car is luego veloicty xt
not got a BEC, but if you do go for a BEC ill want to be first in the queue to take the crossflow if you get rid
BECs are fast, loud and revvy. The noise at full throttle is fantastic. The light weight improves acceleration, braking, cornering and weight
balance.
Bike engines are revvy at motorway speeds and are noisy for cruising. They don't have a reverse gear.
You need a longer propshaft, or a two piece shaft but then you don't have a gearbox taking up foot well room so there is more space for your
feet.
They are cheaper than modern tuned car engines of the same performance, but more expensive than old ford engines which are usually slower.
I have one and think its great, but it isn't the perfect all round engine. Buy one if you want a sprinter, but a car engine if you want a
cruiser.
"Buy one if you want a sprinter, but a car engine if you want a cruiser".
Smart51 I would add to your comment, it may be a cruiser with a car engine, but a very quick one for all that.
becs are the future dude!!!!!
BEC
BEC
BEC, but what ever you do, don't fit a honda 90
engine cos that would be crap

i'm going cec but going to build a bec as well, personally a cec for every day but bec for 0-60's

BEC
BECs are quite capable of cruising............
But how long is it before you go deaf in one/both ears?
Depends on whether you fit a decent exhaust or not, same can be said of CEC's.
