What the difference between a 1.6 xr2 crossflow & 1.6 rwd crossflow ?
Cheers
Steve
If it's like any other engines which are FWD the XR2 one won't have a spigot bearing in the end of the crank, as the bearing arrangements are different for FWD & RWD gearboxes. Other than that it'll be water hoses to the rad & heater.
the xr2 engine has the oil pressure switch where the rwd engine mount would be so another hole has to be drilled and tapped in the block i think
thanks for info, another idea out the window
Cheers steve
Paulf fitted an XR2 engine in his locost, so it can be done.

Mine, too came from an XR2, BUT it had been converted to FWD from RWD, so everything was there, including spigot bearing!
Don't know about the oil sender, can't see that being the case, but I am prepared to be proved wrong. Ther may be an engine mount issue, in
that they may not have been drilled and tapped, but that's all i am aware of.

The problems are not enormous -- istr the flywheel has differences.
