I'm in the prcoess of fitting a Cologne V6 to my Locost, the engine goes in alright, but I can't really fit the air cleaner and fuel distributer. Has anybody done this ? or do I need to seperate the fuel dist from the air cleaner and are there any pitfalls I should know about ?

which v6 are you using???

not the 'orrible 2.8 engine?? if so, you would be better off fitting the 2.9 EFi version, which requires less wires to fit, does not have the big clumpy fuel distribution box, and produces more bhp and torque ( ignore the ratings from for for the 2.8 capri engine - its not 160bhp - i know, i have run both engines in my capri, and the 2.9 is far FAR superior )

I have fitted the 2.8 v6 and have used the original fuel injector pipes from the metering unit> I mounted it at 90 degrees to its normal position (what it would be in the car) and the air cleaner cover does just fit.
As for the lack of power to weight ratio, I am fitting a turbo technics kit to it once on the road, and with a few mods will easily get 250hp!!

U2U sent, but simple answer if you want an easy solution is to use the carb manifold off a 2.8 MK2 granada or 2.3 sierra. Fit that with a weber 38dgas and bob's your uncle. junk the fuel injection and away you go.
