Zetec Oil Leak
timwest167 - 22/5/06 at 09:20 AM

Hi all,

The pressure sensor/switch on my zetec is leaking. I have tried tightening it several times, but it just keeps on leaking, and I don't want to overtighten it and damage the block. Any ideas how to stop it leaking? Is Hylomar Blue suitable for this pressure/temperature application? What about PTFE sealing tape (plumbers tape).

Thanks,

Tim

I would personally use PTFE tape making sure you dont go to far down thread ,dont want to get any into block and oil galleries.

PTFE tape is the best thing. Are u sure its the thread leaking and not the actual switch??
