hi everyone
anybody got any good tips for trying to remove the crank toothed pulley on a zetec?
I've tried to inch it forward a bit from the rear but its now not moving any more. I presume the woodruff key should be left in during
removal?
It just looks too tricky to get one of my pullers on it too - not enough space!!
Mine moved really easily - A 3 legged puller should get it off if it is tight - sorry - just fully read your post.
If you can't get a puller in not sure how you would do it.

how did you get a puller on it? Isn't your oil pump surround in the way?
Is there any way of getting a pry bar or two in behind it? Or a couple of long screwdrivers?

If it did start to move and now its not its probably got jammed on the shaft as they are a nice sliding fit usually. Try tapping it back onto the
shaft *gently* then try pulling it off again as evenly as possible. It should come off with your fingers really...
