Hi
Just trying to connect up throttle pedal in Mk indy.
Engine is 2.0 pinto with 32/36 DGAV weber and cable is Sierra type with square connection at carb end.
At pedal end the cable is terminated with a small barrel nipple and the pedal has a small hole below pivot point.
Has anyone used this set up and if so what's the best way to connect the cable to the pedal, I'd prefer not to cut the original nipple
off.
If anyone could post any pictures/diagrams I'd be grateful.
Cut the nipple off, you probably find it to long, i used bike brake cable clamp, works a treat.
Whatever connection method you use ensure that it is free to pivot otherwise it will probably fail.
i used a u saddle type fixing that bolts to the pedal (so it can still pivot). The u saddle looks like a banjo fitting but obviously not the sort that
passes oil. Nipple cut off cable, cut end inserted into a hole in the saddle and secured with the grub screws.
Supplied by Mac#1 as part of the kit.
