Quick question. Is there any way to mate an engine and gearbox from different cars to each other?
where the will, there is a way.
some easier than others.
some have been done already.
what do you have in mind?
jag engine (aj6 or aj16) to probably type 9
Would a type 9 take the power and torque from that lump?
Not sure. know of anything readily avaliable that would?
How about a Jag gearbox?
Surely they can't have all been autos

Iv looked at that and there arnt really that many and they're quite expencive
The original Jag box?? I'm sure Pluto is smaller than those though - no longer being a planet.
If your prepared to package the engine then the box shouldn't be that much more hassle.
Cheers
You need a Getrag box from a BMW 7 series (the one with the detachable bell housing) or a Supra box.
You then need a bell housing. Speak to Realm Engineering.
Master cylinder, slave cylinder, clutch etc etc. Not cheap.

Sorry to be vague but I think some Jags used the Getrag.
Also, one of the kit companies, maybe Luego, made a Jag engined 7 with a Getrag box.
I know Lotus used them, as the Eclat engine I'm using has it's original Getrag box into
which I've fitted a hydraulic concentric clutch unit (ex Mundano)

I have also posted this in an earlier reply
" The getrag 221 is the rwd gear used in the lincoln ls and the s type jag (3l). The gearbox internals are mostly form the manuals used in BMW
M3. The gearbox won't directly bolt up to a Duratec 25 V6. There are several holes missing on a Dura 25 and some of the holes in the dura 25 are
shifted 1 or 2 cm. The st220 mondeo and the jag are using a dura 30. The initial design of the duratec V6 was from porsche, went to cossworth and
ended up in different cars (mostly ford related)
