Is there any difference between a Power Commander bought in the UK and one bought in America?

They are much cheaper in America, and
you can get maps to suit your engine and modifications for free anyway.

Cheers

They are the same, they are cheaper over in the states because thats where they manufactured, unless your going over on your holidays,or lucky enough to get away with paying import duty and vat, your not going to save that much, add vat import duty, and shipping the price gets bumped up a fair bit

As stated - they are the same...

The reason for the price difference between USA and UK is because we in the UK are more easily ripped off. The units are most likely built and assembled in China, they are then boxed in the USA and distributed from there.

I just got back from USA - most things are 1/2 price even after the 7.5% tax they have. Why do you think more and more USA cars are appearing on our roads... because we are prepared to pay over the odds for the same product, thats why!!! A Ford Focus for instance ar ethe same units i.e. 9000 ours is pounds theirs is dollars... making their price 4500... manufactured in Spain (IIRC)... and before anyone asks no it isn't down to popularity there arent more Focus's(ii) in the USA than here...

I bought my PC USB 3 from America for an 07 ZX10R via ebay. They retail at £250 in the UK and I got it for £100 plus postage of £15. Just make sure the seller puts down that its a gift/used

It did take about 4 weeks to come but it was worth the wait

That doesn't stop you paying customs charges if they decide to take a look at it! The only way you can guarantee not to pay customs is if the value is less than about £17 (can't remember exact figure).
