Filters

Hi,

Currently my engine as bought has a set of 'golf club warmer' type filters. One over each trumpet.

However they are a bit tatty, and dont really fit with the bonnet cutout at all.

I have a backplate like the ones below, which looks like its been on the car, which would fit with the bonnet cutout better.

Presumably the sausage type are as good as the golfclub warmer type?
- Just need to make sure i get one to fit my backplate.

The trumpets are very short.

I believe that the sausage filters are generally considered better than the 'sock' filters anyway so go ahead and fit a sausage type.

Cheers

Will any sausage fit any backplate, or what am i looking for, wheres the best place to buy them.
- As i say, the back plate looks just like the ones on the sbd website, although i could take accurate measurments.

Looking to get the car setup on a rolling road at some point, so i might as well change whatever before that. Not that im atisipating any change in performace for the diffrence in filter.

My butchers only charge about £3 lol

You will need a filter and matching back plate. I find the ITG ones to be good. Give them a call direct, they are only in Coventry.
