Will Sierra Front Calipers fit under 13inch Comp ML's?

I have just bought some Compomotive 1380 alloy wheels and I have Sierra front hubs, I am just wondering if I bought some standard Sierra calipers if they would fit under these wheels and what discs should be run?

Are there any other alternative brake calipers that will fit the sierra hubs?

Cheers Mark

Sierra calipers

Hi,

I believe the early Sierra was originally fitted with 13" wheels.

Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

If you rim offset is correct, i see no reason why you cant run with the original Sierra discs & calipers.

Not on the front they didn't. I'm not familiar with the MLs, but I think you'll be fine. The rear end will be more of a worry. The only wheels that I am sure fit over Sierra handbrake calipers are Compomotove CXRs and Caterham's multi-spoke rims.

OK, OK, I was thinking of the rears which are the big problem. It is the handbrake lever that fouls 13" rims. The front brakes don't have a handbrake lever.

Ive 13s on the back of mine with sierra calipers and discs.

the handbrake mechanism needed a little hammertime action to stop it fouling tho.

not sure how Im going to get wheel weights on tho!

I've got Sierra front uprights with vented discs and rear 9" drums - all fit inside my 6x13 Superlights - bit tight but don't hit anywhere or catch on anything.....

So will any Sierra caliper fit on the front not including the 4x4's or cosworth models?

For anyone with 13 inch wheels, what disc size is it that is used and what calipers are you using?

Cheers again, Mark
