Rad fan switch

I need some advice on my rad fan switch on my xflow!!

I have noticed when driving that the radiator fan will come on around 85 degrees. After this it will stop on and never go off unless i switch the engine off and let it cool down to around 72 degrees. Bare in mind that the rad fan switch is in one of them alloy "filler necks" on the head, and the temp sensor is in the top hose near the rad. I have also drill a couple of 4mm holes in the stat.

What other temp ranges can you get the "big" ford rad fan switch in. I would like to keep o.e socket on the switch though.

Thanks

Shaun

The operating temperatures of your fan switch should be on the body, go to your local freindly motor factors they may have a catalogue with the temperatures in so you can choose a more suitable one.
