Idea - crazy paving bodywork
Using off cuts and welding them together to make "crazy paving" style panels. I can see it being a hell of a lot of work, but the question
is:
Crap or cool?
If anyone could do a mock up picture that'd be great

Or take the paint off your car then weld lots of beads all over it to look like it's been welded together from lots of patches ...
"That thing you're thinking - it wont be that."

i think it could look death race, mad maxish, so cool if it was done well... mite look sh*t if it was done badly tho lol it would certainly be
different tho!
If it didnt work out you could grind it down i suppose, and maybe filler it to paint over.... i can see there being a lot of weld distortion tho..

Yeah would have to be done in big pieces, maybe with some rusty paint and spiky wheels. Possibly a few dents on purpose too just to add the
"been brawled over" look?

Better not show that to SWMBO, she'd freak at someone defiling a 911 like that. Like the idea though.

So, weld lines all over it to make it look like it's been patched more often than a very patched thing, rusty brown kinda paint to fleck over
the dusty matt black, how about different style wheels all round for that "built from a scrapyard" look?
Along with a few bulletholes (anyone got a shotgun they could pepper it with?) some denting and a semi-loud exhaust I think I could give the
neighbours something to look at!

why don't you just put your bodywork outside under a tree and let birds s**t all over it and then you wouldn't have to weld anything!
well i thought it was funny

How about a paintball gun on the passenger side? I'd be going too fast to hit anyone though!
Might want a better lump than a bmw 1.8 though for this...
Also how can I make a picture of it? I don't think adjusting someone else's photo in paint is going to cut it...

Oh no some of them just look like they've been washed with a brillo pad, I'm after this kind of idea:

Look at the Rustfire and the Junker IV. I'm after a "built in a shed" or "been through a war" look

semi hidden panel or something

Well I've seen on another thread somewhere that the locost has the aerodynamic efficiency of a brick, so a few "rusty" holes and
dents can't make it much worse!
I'm gonna have to do some drawing on my next day off, should have something up by friday night if I can find my scanner cable
