Converting Duratec 3.5 V6 to RWD ????

Has anyone got any experience converting a Duratec 3.5 V6 to RWD, although these are relatively new to the market where I am in the US I can pick one up for around $1400 which seems like a relatively cheap way to get 263HP out of the box from an engine with less than 20,000 miles on the clock. With Ford claiming that in the next few years they will be in 20% of their NA vehicles I am assuming performance parts will follow in case I ever get bored…
From everything I have read the 3.5 is similar only in name to not just the 4 Cylinder Duratec’s but also its predecessor the 3.0 V6, what I am not aware of though is what the bolt layout is and which (if any) US production donor car might give me the easiest RWD hookup.

I am thinking of fitting it into a Luego Viento Chassis but have yet to buy either and would appreciate any thoughts on both the frame and the engine.

Yep. It fits to a quaife sequential box quite easily, it ain't cheap though. The standard Ginetta G50 basically uses this engine but in a state of tune over 300bhp.

Much though this reply fills me with confidence that the project is possible the price of a quaife makes me think there better me a cheaper option out there
