Type 9 leak - how easy is it to sort?

I have taken my engine out of the car and left the type 9 in. I found that it had an oil leak on the engine side seal. I haven't taken the clutch fork out yet and was wondering, before I do that, how easy it is to replace the seal. Do I need the gearbox out or can I just remove the bell housing and do it that way?

Cheers
Steve

Take the 4 bolts out holding the clutch release bearing sleeve and remove seal from sleeve

Also check the gearbox isn't over filled - Ford reduced the recommened oil level to alleviate the problem.

With the car dead level gearbox oil level should be about a little finger thickness below level plug --- not level with it.
