Why? I thought NI was classed as part of the UK, therefore same rate (according to Royal Mail it is) so I would have thought that size and weight would have been no higher than £25.

As much as I hate to say it, I would try RM and tell shipley to 'stick it'

Or do what I do when I get things shipped to Ogdensburg NY (one hour away): take an afternoon off work, and use the occasion to fill up with cheap high octane us fuel while there... You might not get the cheap petrol, but you'll have a nice trip to NI, which is beautiful.

If I had my car on the road I would seriously consider it. Think I may need more than an afternoon off work though

midweek flights are only 1p from BMI Baby!
(of course, once you've added fees and taxes you can move the decimal point 4 places to the right!)

<whistles> dont know what you're talking about, you must be mis-quoting me
Bet even at that price they'd still charge you an arm and a leg to either use online checkin, or not to use online checkin, which ever one you chose!?

and then you'd have to pay to check the nose cone in and leave it at the mercy of the baggage handlers who would reduce it to its component parts within seconds.
