Can I glue/plastic weld, a plastic inlet manifold?
I've been looking at the inlet manifold for my 328i.
The only difference I can see is, on the 328 manifold, there is a plastic bolt on plate with all the vacuum connections on it. But on the 325i
manifold, there I only 1 connection.
So would it be possible to plastic weld( like how you repair bumpers) the plate from the 328 manifold, to the 325 manifold?
Or, does anyone know of a suitable industrial adhesive to do the job?
I'll add a couple of pictures later...

Might be worth studying the manifold, there should be a recycling mark on it somewhere which will tell you which sort of plastic it is, which will
help with glue choices.

It won't heat weld ----thermosetting plastic.
Plastic manifolds can be drilled & tapped, it is done all the time for LPG conversions.
What bore are the connections ?

This is the underside of the 325i manifold.
And this is the underside of the 328i manifold.
Basicly, i want to use the section that the plastic "plate" bolts to, and a small section of the side from the 328i manifold(including the
4 threaded brass inserts), then cut out the 325i section, so the new piece replaces the and covers where the vacuum conection is on the 325i
manifold.
My thoughts are to overlap the hole to make a lap joint for strength.
