Pattern white box ABS wheel bearings & sensors ****

ABS fault on a very high mileage MG ZT replaced both rear sensors & wheel bearings as it is usual to replace both at the same time --- however didn't fix the fault, testing the sensors off car with a magnet revealed one of the new sensors was U/S but replacing it didn't clear the fault. So connected an oscilloscope to each sensor by splicing into the cars loom and discovered no signal from one wheel and a highly erratic signal from the other.

Starting the investigation with the wheel with erratic sensor on removing the wheel bearing it was clear the oil seal which incorporates the magnetic ring had been pressed unevenly in during manufacture. Replaced the original hub/bearing and the oscilloscope is showing a nice health square wave.
