Le Mans 2012 trip
It seems we have a drop out from our Le Mans 2012 trip. I'm afraid to say it's on health grounds so no chance of him changing his mind or
being persuaded into it, which means we have a place for sale.
It's all booked already, we're just waiting on the tickets to arrive. We're a group of 29 this year (including these two places)
age range mid-20's to early 60's, 24 guys and 3 girls.
Don't worry if you've not been before. Plenty of the group are Le Mans veterans who will show you the ropes and we'd encourage you
to join our camping group if you want to.
- Eurotunnel for car + 2 people early Thursday 14th June
- 1 x camping pass for Houx (allows 1 car and as many people as will fit in)
- 2 x General Admission tickets (gets you into the race itself
- Eurotunnel for car + 2 people late Monday 18th June
This is an excellent package even if I do say so myself. Houx is often regarded as one of the best, if not the best campsite at Le Mans. It's
got decent facilities and is close enough to the track to be easy to view but far enough away that you stand a chance of getting some sleep on race
night. Places are limited - I put a deposit on these in October to reserve such a large number. As far as I know the only chance of getting them now
is from groups that have had a dropout.
The tunnel crossings are also regarded as the best times, certainly on the way out. The trains are bound to be packed with cars going to Le Mans!
Price for two people is £320 (ie £160 each). On top of this you'll need fuel (about 500 miles round trip from Calais), tolls (about £40) plus
food and drink on top. We can add additional people to the booking but no more cars so if you wanted to go as a 3 or 4 and were all prepared to
squeeze into one car I can arrange that for a little extra.
Be aware that there may be some negotiation possible on price if you've got a big car (or van?) and are prepared to take some group boxes down
as we're a bit stuck for space this year and quite a few of us go down in cars with very little space. (For example, if you had a transit-sized
van I could probably raise £100 towards your tickets by having a whip-round of those with small cars)
Cheers, Chris

This is still available!
We've got one of the spaces taken, so this package is now for 1 person with 1 car, but I can upgrade it to 2 people if necessary.
The options are:
a) Drive on your own
b) Drive and take our passenger (possibly female if that influences you at all!)
c) Drive and take your own passenger
£160 if you take option b. Other options will vary price.
Price is also negotiable if you're going in a big car and are prepared to take some kit down with you for those that have 2-seaters.
Cheers, Chris

One of our group has said he'd be happy to drive, so I can throw this open as a purely passenger seat if that helps persuade anyone?
(Driving is still an option if you wanted to)
Also, for reasons that are too complicated to go into here, it causes quite a few problems for the group if we can't fill this space.
We're prepared to take £140 for the place for the sake of getting it sold.
Surely there's someone on here that wants to go? How can you pass up four days of fast cars, racing, beer and laughs?
