Another potentially silly question....

Any body recognised these parts of a wiring loom? They dont seem to belong to my mk2 escort one, they were in the box with it though...

The plugs are of a totally different style to the escort ones for starters! And these bits of loom were wrapped in heat proof sheath unlike the rest of the escort loom. There arent that many electronics on the xflow engine to need all those wires. So what car do they belong to??

Sierra bits maybe?

Any help appreciated.

the colour coding of the wiring makes me think it would be a headlight loom, but the white plugs don't look like anything i remember.

the round black plugs look like indicator connectors though. i'm not sure it's sierra though.

The white plug looks a bit like a connector I had on the TVR. Came from a Land Rover iirc.

Not saying it's the same one but looks similar.

Whatever it is, I would buzz it out with a Multimeter and make another one. Wiring has always seemed to be the thing that leaves kitcars by the side of the road on a wet day... Well, at least thats what the old man told me about his younger days of driving British sportscars.

Thanks guys. Finished going through the escort loom today and it certainly doesnt belong to that. The larger part of the 2 looms had an ignition coil attached to it, but it has no markings on it. No idea why they were in the box with the escort bits. Nevermind.

Thanks for the comments though! Now I know!

Cheers,
David
