Brake fluid sensor

Greetings

Just a quick question , do you have to have a low brake fluid light on dash for s.v.a .

And a means of testing the light from the drivers seat, usualy a handbrake switch linked to the same circuit although it can be just a dash mounted switch.

My sva inspector wanted the warning light to work when,
1.He pressed the test button on the master cylinder filler cap.
2. Applied the handbrake. (This was to be able to see the system worked from within the car.)???
My hand brake switch was faulty. FAIL

does the light have to be marked so mr sva man knows what it is for or as long as a light lights up when he tests it then will it be o k

It needs to be the correct 'brake' symbol I believe.

It has to have the (!) type symbol and be testable from the drivers seat, not necessarily by the handbrake.
