Clutch dimensions needed

I need a clutch for a project, it needs to be 8.5" diameter, with a 1" 23 spline friction plate. Iv'e done some googling, and i think a ford type 9 box might have the required spline size, and it seems duratecs have an 8.5" clutch, so this might be my answer. The end project will have 400bhp +, so ultimatley i might have to stump up for an AP clutch, but for mock up purposes to enable me to make an engine gearbox adapter, any old clutch of the right size will do. So if anyone can confirm ford clutch sizes, i'd be grateful, and if anyone has an old clutch lying around that fits the bill, that would be even better. Also any suggestions on alternatives are welcome.

AL.

The T9 definately has a 1" input shaft, not sure on the # of splines though.

I think the pinto has an 8.5" clutch too.

Was going to say use a cosworth clutch, but they are to big at 241mm-pinto/type 9=216mm they are both 1"x 23 spline.
have a look at the burtons website they do sintered and cerametallic (?) race clutches in215mm 1"x23.
Wouldn't like to use it in town/traffic though

If it doesn't fit MODIFY it!!

Ouch! £300 and its only rated to 390nm of torque would still like to try a pinto clutch if anyone has one i can borrow/buy, if it does fit maybe i can speak to AP and see if they do anything more heavy duty in the right size. Thanks for the help chaps.
