Footwell Cover Panel
This is the horizontal panel immediately in front of the scuttle. As I need it to be removable, a reusable gasket will be required.
Has anyone else sealed this panel similarly, and if so, what material did they use, and was it successful?
I'm guessing that 1mm thick x 25mm wide neoprene strip would work.
I'll be interested in any feedback.
TIA
Dick

Mine is also removable, but I didn't bother sealing it - although after a few miles it did vibrate/squeak slightly so I strategically placed a
few pieces of the "foam sticky-back" stuff used to edge my bonnet...

Self-adhesive sheet foam like what Woolies sell would be my first choice....

Guys (Now there's a huge assumption!),
Thanks for the feedback. Have already used the foam strip under the fuel tank straps. Might need something thinner, on my installation.

We have a removable panel above our pedals, here is a photo of what I did. It's just sticky backed foam.

With no roof on the car is it worth sealing? The only thing I would worry about would be coolant hoses leaking boiling water into footwell and foam
being porous wouldn't be waterproof?
