take along - pics of the build so you can show the inspector how you built it

proof of engine year if needed for emissions

Mot if you have one already

some paper money to bribe inspector/picture of him in bed with his mistress if the bribery fails...

If you're talking about applying for the SVA then you need SVA1 and the Amateur Built Declaration (both found on Vosa site) plus your payment (£190) all of which are sent to Vosa @ Swansea.

They will also want copy receipts and build pictures showing the major components (brakes, axles, steering, engine, transmission, chassis & body) to prove that it is indeed an amateur build , even though you have just declared that on the aforementioned form

Do you need to put a copy in with the sva forms? or do you take it to SVA?

Receipts and pictures should be sent with the forms.

You may also need to have build pictures available at the test to show those areas which are no longer accessible.

Has anyone sent/ does anyone know if a cd with all your build pics (300 plus) would be acceptable or do you need to select some and print them off.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.
