Legal question
I have just bought an Indy from my mate (thread elsewhere) I am finishing it off ready to get it IVA'd. Can anyone explain the issues around
amateur status and added complications of me not being the original builder?
Regards.......... Neil

Does your mate have photos/recepits etc of the build?
If so, just pretend you took them..... simples!

i was honest, and wrote a very detailed covering letter along with my application and as many photos as i could.
everything has gone fine. i think they dont like it when the forms suggest you haven't personally done much of the build, but no extra detail is
given.

As far as the DVLA etc are concerned, you built it
Unless you want heaps of grief
Why is everyone so willing to be totally honest with the DVLA??! Their just a bunch of desk jockeys who only cause problems
