Anyone know about SD card, HD camcorders?

I'm having a bit of trouble with my camcorder that i took to the £999.

I've copied all my videos off of the SD card, but i can't delelte them off of the memory card.
It keeps saying the files are Write-Protected, then says remove the writer-protection to continue.

I now have 2 16gb SD cards that i can't re-use.

Has anyone got any ideas how i can delete the files from the cards?

The write-protect tab hasn't accidentally been moved ?

If the above does not work open the SD card dialog box on your computer, look at the file info, on many you can un-protect each file then delete.
You can also re-format the card, that will delete everything
