Best Bike Carbs for a 2 Litre - ZX9R C1's?

Hi All,

Really interested to see the posts here about fitting bike carbs to car engines.

I will soon be getting a 2 litre, either Zetec or Rover T series, for my current project and will be going down the bike carb route.

Anyone know the best carbs to fit?
ZX9R C1's seem popular or is there a better alternative?

Anything else I need to know before jumping in?

Thanks for the help.

Martin

Hi Martin,

I can't comment on other carb's but i have zx9r's
on my 2.0 zetec and they are great.
I know of a few others who are using these with great results.

Really the only things that matter are the venturi size [ZX9 and R1 are around 40mm] and whether they have a Throttle position sensor if you have an ignition system that can use one.

Pretty much all bike carbs are re-spacable.

I use ZX6 carbs (38mm)on my standard tune 2.0 Zetec which work great. If they are going on a tuned Zetec then slightly bigger carbs might be a bit better.
