zetec blacktop sump?
For some reason beyond my computer skills, when ever I search for something it returns 2 million topics which bear no resembalance to what I want. So
here is my question's for the day.
1) Im using a 2.0 blacktop zetec, type 9 box and standard flywheel. What release bearing do I use and also anything else?
Question number
2) Who can modify my sump for me without it costing the price of a new kit car? (I have the standard 2.0 sump)
any help, advise, answers, suggestions welcome as I want to finally marry the engine to the box and fit it in the car some time before the next new
year........
Andy
PS If you are a skilled or semi skiled welder and can make/modify my sump, please u2u me how much you want or post if you want the world to
see........

I can't answer the question on release bearing as I used a 1.8 CVH flywheel and clutch, but it is worth getting a 1.8 flywheel as they are much
lighter.

You don't need to be much of a welder to do this. I just cut my sump pan so it was level and welded a flat piece of plate on the bottom. It
looses a bit of oil capacity but not much.

My point was that just about any place that does a bit of welding should be able to help you out if you cut the sump and make a plate to weld it up
with.

if your using the standard 2.0 zetec flywheel and clutch. You can use the release cct303 bearing. This is what i used on mine. The info came from the
zetec website here

I think I may have not got my message accross properly. Is there anyone on here that would shorten my existing sump and pick up for me in exchange for
beer tokens?

I used this website (Zetecinsde.com) for some of the information on fitting a 2.0L zetec Blacktop to Type 9 gearbox, gives you all the information you
need.
