More Misery

A while ago I posted about our golf that snapped its cambelt basically now scrap. OK it was a shed and we didnt look after it. Now our seat altea owned from new always been serviced new cambelt and water pump done at same time has decided to create a cloud of whiteish smoke, james bond would be proud of this to hide his getaway, after much searching and investigation it seems the turbo has seized. absolutley no pressure coming out of it, crankcase slightly pressurised ( head gasket not blown) when pipe between turbo and egr disconnected the smoke goes away. So anyone know where I can get a turbo at a reasonable price. I have plenty of luck and it ALL seems to be BAD
If my luck carries on my kit car and bits will have to go. Anyone want to buy a magenta LSR
Sorry to rant but had to let off some steam.

Chin up chap, we all have runs like that from time to time, it wont last, it's just bad luck.

Don't forget, even now, there's a lot more going right for you than there is going wrong

Pull the turbo off and send it for a recon. Turbo Technics charge around £250 IIRC but there are places that do it cheaper and you get a guarentee. Failing that, how much do you want for the LSR??
