Accusumps?

Evening All,

Just wondering whether any of you on here use an Accusump at all? Do you see any real benefits with regards to maintaining oil pressure whilst running or engine degredation reduction/prevention prior to cranking etc?

All the best

Alex

I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

A fair few of the BEC track guys including myself run one. Seen a few on track car engines but i'd say if you don't go on track, no need for it to assist with oil surge, But im sure there is a small advantage on cranking up etc...

I run an accusump on my Pinto. I have a 25psi oil pressure warning light, and have seen far fewer oil light illuminations. (On track)
I have a manual valve system, and never remember to turn it off before shutting down the engine. I do try to remember to close it before starting the engine if it's been unused for a good while, as I can't imagine having the oil pump replenishing the accusump while trying to lubricate the bearings is a good idea..

All in all, I'm happy with it.
