Help Id these bike carbs
Just bought these on ebay on a bit of whim as I was looking for some Zx6r, but from a recent post YZF 600 where meant to be ok to.
However looking at the pictures I can't see a float chamber on the carbs, they are definately not throttle bodies.
Just wondering if I've bought the wrong thing?

They look like throttle bodies to me. Are the injectors underneath? Look at the four orange plugs.
I would have thought that all Jap sports bikes would be fuel injected by 2004.
And I can see a fuel pressure regulator.

Buggar, they looked different to the throttle bodies I had seen before and were advertised as carbs?
I was wondering if they were a hybrid?

Only just payed for them so don't have them yet.
Strange as they don't look like throttle bodies I have seen before.
As they were advertised as Carbs I could argue the description wasn't accurate.
I've sent a polite email to the seller asking not to post them and to refund, whilst offering to cover any relisting fee etc.
If not I'll have to sell them on or go megasquirt and fuel injected which sounds a lot more complex than megajolt and carbs!

The seller should refund you. He will probably get more for them when he describes them correctly. He ought to give you half of that bonus for putting
him right!

They are defiantly R6 Throttle Bodies. You can see the fuel injectors on them, pressure regulator and all the extra wiring and sensors.

Those early yamaha TBI's are a bit strange, they have a slider that is designed to keep air-flow up for small throttle openings (same as carbs
have), but it makes them look like carbs.

Defo throttle bodies, get an ECU and you have a better solution than carbs
