Sliders guest house cater's for bikes a lot more than car's but can personally recommend it.
Get reading Tim Lovejoy's website - I think it is regarded as the best 'Ring guide going...

we got told the best time is Sunday morning. I would also say keep your line if not you will get bullied and pushed around by the bigger cars once you
concede a corner you find it hard to get back onto a decent line
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

Hotel kastenholz is very nice with good food, great views over the rolling hills and a good couples place. I have also stayed at Hotel Wilhelmshöhe
which also has good food and a great garden with a view. Both are about 20mins from the ring which means you wont get as many loons flying past at all
hours. Also means you can enjoy the local roads on the way which are like doing a lap at the ring any way.
During the day you can go sight seeing. Dont go to the main Nurburgring GP musium. Its no better than the places over here really. Walking around the
car park at the ring, and trying to find viewing places at different places around the circuit will take all day! If you want some great classic
German town views then go to Cockem (you heard me!) and get a cable car to the top of the hill. It has a nice river and a castle! On a nice day have
some food and a beer at the top. The view is breath taking. Also on the same road as Hotel Wilhelmshöhe (259).
Regarding the Ring. The entrance to the 'ring' can be hard to find. Google it before hand to find the toll entrance, its near the GP
entrance.
Buy a card with one lap on it and take the Mrs out. Its not that scary really. Just drive as you would on any good B road. Keep your line and let them
overtake you.
Oh and if its a tourist weekend then book before hand. The hotels are normally fully booked for miles around.
Any other questions then U2U me and ill try to help.
Enjoy petrolhead heaven!

Another vote for Sliders Guesthouse If you're going out on the track make sure the car is not too loud as they do some random static noise
tests at the barriers

Things to remember
1. German road traffic law applies on Tourist driving so only overtake on the left. You must, technical, keep right if not overtaking.
2. There are speed limits on the Ring so you can get done for speeding. Watch for the signs
3. You are not insured. Simple as that really. In the event of an accident that you cause you can be liable for the damage to your car,
damage/repair/clean-up/track closure/air ambulance/recovery and so on for the track and you are liable for any damage to other vehicles and persons.
So if you drop oil and take out the 10 founding members of the Billionaires Biker club who all end up in a wheel chair for the rest of their
lives....you are liable.
4. Make sure you have the Ring emergency number on your phone before you go out. In the event of a problem with your car....pull off the track, do
not try an limp back to the exit. if you have dropped something get back on foot (if it is safe to do so) and warn oncoming traffic. Call the number
and wait to be recovered....it will cost but better that than to maim or kill a Biker on your fluids.
5. You will see a lot of 'slower' cars come hammering past you....don't get sucked in as these will be locals and have done
'000s of laps.
And....have a good time !
