MGB wire spline hubs

Just trying my luck here, there must be a few of you on here who have had Bs, Im looking for some wire wheel spline hubs and nuts for the B, the ones that bolt on, and cheap ones so I can use for mocking up, but anything considered,
Ian.

If I remember well having owned both MGB's and Triumph TR's with wire wheels, only the TR series had bolt on splines.

To convert steel wheels to wires for an MGB required the whole half shaft removed from the live axle as the shaft/spline was all one assembly. At the front the spline was integral with the hub and bearings.

On the TR the splines were just bolt on to the hubs so you should be looking for Triumph ones for your application. The spline pitch and diameter are the same as the MGB but the wheels were 15" rather than 14" on the MG.

Splined, bolt on adaptors are availble for standard MGB axles. I used them many years ago when building an AC Ace replica that used MGB running gear.
