How to stop rust over winter

Just been out for an evenings welding and noticed that since the cold weather has become even colder the rust on my chassis and engine is going bananas.

I've coated stuff with WD40 but its a battle I'm loosing. Anyone any handy hints on how to halt the spread of rust over winter?

I guess some form of garage heater is the next step - any recommendations ?

If you use a gas heater it just gets worse.
Use weld thru primer and that will keep it off.

brush on some engine oil. seems to be working on my engine. It's been standing for about 6 months now and the rust's only just started to come back.

A bit of slapstick never hurt anyone.
