Custom/One Off Bonnet

Hi all

Does anyone know of someone who could make a louvred (similar to Caterham) style Bonnet for my MK?

Why not try to make your own, then get an engineers or bodyshop to stamp in some louvres in for you,

That's what i did, this is how it came out. Not cheap thou for the stamping.

Your bonnet looks great!

I'd love to build one but I barely have the skills and certainly don't have the time or the space. I basically work, sleep, work, sleep....

Can anyone help!?

Demon theives (and similar shops) sell stick on bonnet vents for boy racers etc. Some of them even go as far as having holes in them so they actually are vents. Stick on and blend in with filler. I've seen one or two examples that blend in to the bonnet very subtly.

I'm thinking about making a replacement bonnet for my car following some of the advice I've seen here , as for the louvres I read an article in a kit car mag a couple of years ago where the guy writing had made male and female formers and after cutting a thin slot laid the formers in place , gave one of them a few taps with a hammer . Looked to me like nice louvres , may be worth a try?
