THE MARVELS OF PALINDROMES.

Palindrome--a word/words or sentence that reads the same backwards as forwards.
My old college engineering lecturer once told us about these and the longest one that he could recall was on the gravestone of the man that built the Panama canal and it read...
A MAN A PLAN A CANAL PANAMA
Now take out the spaces.
AMANAPLANACANALPANAMA.
I was just on tinternet and apparently there was a bloke in the 1800's who spent thirty years writing an entire novel that was a palindrome!
His name was Sydney Yendys!
Anyone got any other good ones?

Read a book a few years ago with a chapter on palindromes, here are the few I can remember:

Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward to new era?

Dog sex at noon taxes God

And the first words spoken by man:
"Madam, I'm Adam"
