Escort steering bits

Drew a blank yesterday trying to source Escort Track Rod Ends and rack mounting rubbers and clamps at local motor factors and ford parts. Any idea who is doing best deals at the moment!

Thanks

Any local factor who stocks QH stuff should be able to get the TREs, or have them in stock.

Quinton Hazel number is:
Track rod ends - QR1384S

Make sure you know whether you have a Mk1 or Mk2 rack though as the threads are different.

WRT the clamps and rubbers, why not just use ally clamps and do away with the rubbers? You will have trouble finding the clamps at all. The rubbers are available from people like rally design and burton power. (Rally design have them for £2.90+VAT) Ally clamps are £29.50+VAT.

Escort Mk3 rack mountings are the same

Important note you must have a MK2 escort rack a Mk1 rack is NBG because the track rod ends won't mate with Cortina or Sierra uprights.

Got a rack from Raldes so it is Mk2 style. I suppose I could solid mount it though I am making a road car not a racer!
