oil leaking...Help!

Hi guys, not sure which topic this one is under so please move if needed.

Some may know I have bought Tim.c's MK Indy who is a member here. I need some advice on my oil cooler and leaking oil. The oil cooler is under the nose cone, but unlike what I have seen before, it has 3 pipes attached to it, the main in and out and a 3rd one which is connected to what looks like to the same fitting as the outlet pipe, but is much smaller (6mm bore), this pipe is 6" long and doesn’t connect to anything the other end. This is where the oil is coming from (only after I have thrashed the car). Does anyone know what this pipe is for?

I can only imagine it’s a breather (least likely as the oil here is always under pressure and it would pour out), bleed pipe and the bung has come out, an over pressure drain or a filler pipe?

I was going to fit another catch tank for it or 't' it into the main engine breather catch tank, but I am unsure if this is the correct way to go around this.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Andy. (CBR1000f BEC)

You mean to say you didn't get a warranty with it when you bought it?

Cheers for the mail Tim, i will have a go with another oil pot.

I nearly needed a full rebuild last night, took it out, roads were almost dry, exiting a roundabout and faced the pub on the other side of the road, thank god for all those practice hours on GTR on the pc (very twitchy sim on pc). I drove home really slowly and put it back into my garage. NOT doing that again!. lol
