A bit of eye candey a in exchange for some advice?

Hey i was looking for potential manifolds for the Zetec build im planning and saw this...

that manifold looks about the job and there cheap as chips on ebay.com has anyone else on here used one?

They look good. But will only fit a black top zetec. Youl have to get it slightly modifed to fit a 7 type so it comes out the side not underneath.

Will look the bollox under the bonnet though.

The welds don't look that good, mig rather than tig and the zetec has oval exhaust ports not round. Way too short. Good basis for modding for a turbo?

Yep i was thinking about just using the top part 4-1. and then using the plates from the down pipe and having a single pipe run out and to the silencer.

I dunno why but every *performance* manifold/header i can find for zetec engines has round ports......... anyone got any ideas?

As long as the round ports are was wide as the widest part of the oval port in the head, it may be a way af creating a step at top and bottom of exhaust exit into manifold to minimise backflow.

I remeber some racing firms were using small exits into a larger bore downpipe for this effect some years ago.

If the round pipe is smaller than the widest part of the oval then I would steer well clear as the last thing it will do is increase performance.
