Rear engine?

Hey there! I'm thinking of building a LoCost but i'm having some doubts about the possibility of installing the engine in the rear. i searched around and i didn't found any project like this. is it impossible? will it ruin the wheight balance? Since it's a Honda 1.6 vtec turbo engine there's no gearbox for an rwd, that's why i thought of installing the engine in the rear. THanks.

look into the "mid-engine" section. orient the engine just as it is, now, in the Honda, but behind the seats.

more to it than that, of course, but you get the idea.

Slap it in a Furore chassis!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Both !
A mid engine is determined as being in between the wheel base. My engine is in front of the rear wheels but at the rear.
