98/99 R1 non start switches again

I'm trying to trim down the R1 loom , stripped off the covering and need to bypass the safety features so far i've got a blue and yellow from the ignition switch to main relay assembly into which the blue and yellow from the clutch and the blue and yellow from the side stand join. the black and yellow on the clutch also goes to the main relay assembly, black on the side stand appears to go to earth.
my question is
1. can i tie the black and black/yellow to the main blue /yellow then cut out the peice that goes to the ignition switch
2.do I have to join the clutch switch wires and then join the side stand wires
3.or as i have read just join the side stand wires
I don't really want to use the R1 switch but i will have to puzzle out how to rewire that
Regards
Tony

If you just join the side stand, you won't be able to start the engine in gear (if you stall in 1st, for example you'll have to to upshift - find neutral -, start engine, downshift to 1st again)
