Had a good afternoon watching the action at cadwell,if you did not manage to get any footage with your camera Leigh,Gary got some incar footage of you two chasing each other round the track,I am sure he will let you have a copy. Some interesting cars on track,a couple of very quick little red strikers going round, being very well driven, they were fastest cars on the track,I timed there fastest laps at 1min 40seconds even a guy in the radical could not get anywhere near them, timed him at no better than 1min 47 goes to show its not the car but who's driving it.

Sound like the 'new' "factory" colours.

That's pretty quick! What do you reckon Matt?

Hi depending on the state of the track 1.40 would be about right .

Had a wet ish day there last week with dry and damp patches. Was setting verry good lap times untill the inevitable happend at the hall bends .

Was trying to find out if it was garry and mark doing yet more testing prior to the season start. Gotta keep an eye on the opposition .

cheers matt

Yes,they must be the ones,Ive seen them before testing at cadwel, one of them has a large box trailer with RAW on the side,it was a good day for testing it was a bit damp in the morning, but dry in the afternoon, there was only about 30 cars on track,so no traffic to hold them up,they were certainly on the pace,I think your opposition is looking good, are you getting worried yet Matt

Hi no not at all worried.

Garry's car with the toyata is in a different class with more power. And marks car with the same zetec power is not a problem.

Just wish i could find the time to do as much testing.

cheers matt

Hi the class b ZETECS are all 155-160 bhp.

And then there is the confussing class A which is up to 1600cc with twin 40s 33mm chokes unlimited tune no steel components. 180 ish bhp

And class A also. 1600 and above but with std carbs and inlet manifold. Ie pinto with the downdraft or rover V8 with the twin SU's. Also unlimited tune with no steel components. So a JE rover costing £12000 gets you 260 bhp.

At the end of the day all classes are fairly well matched for performance but the 1600 multivalves are now gaining reliability with thier power so just starting to edge away. And a 260 V8 is ussually at the front . But the V8's are hopfully going to be removed from the championship for 2009.

cheers matt
