1700 X flow question
Can anyone tell what the estimated power output & performance of a 1700 crossflow would be to the following specification?
711 M Block
Lightened flywheel
Balanced flywheel, crank, clutch, con rods and pistons
234 Kent cam
Dry sump system (fitted)
Big valve head with unleaded inserts
Twin 40 Weber carburettors
Big bore stainless exhaust
Aldon distributor
Facet petrol pump
Also what is you opinion of these engines?
Many thanks

I have come to the conclusion, after much reading and perusal of this forum, that tuning a crossflow is not a cost effective means of obtaining horse
power. The decision I have come to with mine, is to NOS it for a while and then at some point in the future to swap for a zetec/duratec or go the BEC
route. Much more bang for the bucks!

I'm not too sure he's actually looking at building it, as he may still be after buying a complete car.
Could be wrong though.
